What data is used by the Joko extension, and for what purpose?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

To function properly, Joko’s browser extensions (Chrome, Safari, Mobile Safari, or Firefox) need permission to read and modify data from the websites you visit.

⚠️ Rest assured:

  • This data is never sent to our servers.

  • It is processed locally in your browser and does not leave your computer.

  • The data is not stored, and our teams do not have access to it.

Why are these permissions necessary?

  1. Permission to read data:

This allows the extension to verify the website address (URL) you’re visiting. If it matches a Joko partner’s website, the extension displays a notification so you can earn cash back.

  2. Permission to modify data:

This allows the extension to display the Joko widget on the page you’re visiting.
